The Lyon Air Museum is an aerospace museum situated in the City of Santa Ana, California, on the western part of John Wayne Airport. Lyon Air Museum was established by Major General William Lyon and is situated near Martin Aviation, an award-winning jet, turboprop, and piston-powered aircraft repair facility built in 1923 by renowned aviation pioneer Eddie Martin. The Lyon Air Museum show features actual aircraft, unique vehicles, and associated memorabilia, with a focus on the twentieth century’s defining event — World War II. Visitors get a greater knowledge of the critical role the United States plays in influencing world history through engaging and thought-provoking exhibitions based on historical scholarship.

Tours for Groups

Even though Lyon Air Museum is handled by volunteer tour guides during normal operational hours, groups of ten or more persons must make reservations.  This allows the staff to ascertain the group’s composition and provide an appropriately qualified guide for an organized trip. Tours are conducted by volunteer tour guides and last around an hour but may vary depending on the group’s interests.
