About Perris, California
Perris is a city in Riverside County located 71 miles east of Los Angeles, California, and 81 miles north of San Diego, California. The city has a total area of 31.5 square miles, of which 31.4 square miles of it is land and 0.1 square miles is water. Perris has a Mediterranean climate with long hot summers and mildly long warm winter.
The city is widely recognized for having plenty of aerial activities such as indoor/outdoor skydiving and hot air balloon rides. The city is known for Lake Perris, which hosts a variety of fauna and flora. Lake Perris is an artificial lake completed in 1973. It is situated in the mountain-rimmed valley between Moreno Valley and Perris, in what is now the Lake Perris State Recreation Area. Because the lake is close to the city’s major population area, Lake Perris is very crowded during the summer month.
