Riverside is a city in Southern California. It is considered the 59th most populous city in the United States and the 12th most populous city in California. The city has a population of 303,871.

Founded in the 1870s, Riverside is the birthplace of the local citrus industry, and the entire empire is built around navel oranges. The California Citrus State Historic Park will tell you how citrus became popular in Southern California. It is also the home of the Mission Inn. Mission Inn is the largest Mission Revival Style building in the U.S.

Riverside is the 59th largest city in the U.S and the 12th largest city in California. It has a total area of 81.4 square miles of which is 81.1 square miles of land and 0.3 square miles of water. Many residents enjoy the beaches of Southern California.

Riverside is relatively close to Hollywood, and because of its many architectural features, the city is a frequent filming choice by film studios. There are around two dozen nationally registered architectural sites and more than 100 city landmarks.
