Westlake Village is a small town around ten minutes from Thousand Oaks, California. It is quietly nestled on the edge of Santa Monica Mountains and is surrounded by parkland, mountains, and the waters of the Westlake Lake. It is a city located in Los Angeles County with a total land area of 5.5 square miles – 5.2 square miles is land, and 0.3 square miles is water. Westlake Village has a population of 9,000, with the majority of the population being Hispanic.
Much of the village is surrounded by open space, including horse and hiking trails and the vast Santa Monica National Recreation Area. This is a great destination area for people who love to do outdoor activities.
Westlake Village is a bedroom community for Los Angeles. It has no significant industries and most people who live here have to travel to another town or city to work. It is also home to many commercial offices and headquarters.
