About Laguna Beach, California

Laguna Beach is a seaside resort known for its coves, beaches, and art galleries. The City’s topography is unique in California due to its seven miles of coves and beaches where visitors can enjoy the tide pools, sea caves, natural tide pools, and the sandy beaches all within the limits of the city.

Laguna Beach has a total area of 9.8 square miles, in which 8.8 square miles are land, and 0.97 square miles is water. Its coastline stretches 7 miles long which has 27 beaches and coves. The Pacific Ocean borders the city on the southwest, Crystal Cove State Park.

The City is known for Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, a 7,000-acre wilderness in the area surrounding the city. The park is known for its ridgeline views, coastal canyons, and it is the only park with natural lakes in the County.

Located beside the main beach is the Laguna Art Museum. The museum is rooted in the development as an art community. The Pageant of the Masters is held annually during the summer months, which showcases the recreations of famous artworks using real people as models.
