About Norco, California

Norco is a city in Riverside County that got its name from a combination of words taken from North Carolina. It was named after the North Carolina Land Company. It was given its current name by the city’s founder. The land area was used basically for farming but later on, turned to resorts when underground mineral springs were discovered.

It is reported that Norco had a population of 28,000, according to the 2010 Census. The city has a total area of 14.3 square miles, of which 14.0 square miles is land and 0.3 square miles is water.

The City of Norco has a few historical buildings such as the County Library and Weaver Hall. These are ideal places to learn more about the city. A popular tourist attraction is the petting zoo called ‘Critters to Go’.
