Foothill Ranch (FHR) was a census-designated place in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 10,899 at the 2000 census. Annexed into the city of Lake Forest in 2000, Foothill Ranch is one of South Orange County’s newest master-planned communities. Comprised of a unique balance of residential, business & open space, this 2,700 acre community is strategically located near the Santa Ana & the San Diego freeways.
