The Floral Park neighborhood, in Santa Ana’s northern outskirts, is home to around 600 antique residences, the majority of which were constructed between the 1920s and 1950s. Floral Park, one of Orange County’s oldest communities, is reminiscent of a bygone era, with its beautiful tree-shaded avenues, plentiful lawns and flowers, unique and attractive homes, and most significantly, good neighbors! The neighborhood, which was formerly covered with orange, walnut groves, and avocado, now has traditional farmhouses and the delicious scent of orange blossoms still pervades the air.

The Floral Park Neighborhood Association regularly engages to preserve the community’s charm and beauty, as well as to offer its residents a feeling of belonging and history. The Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties lists about 200 homes in Floral Park.

History

Floral Park, which used to be covered in orange and walnut trees, is now one of Santa Ana’s most historic residential districts, with approximately 200 residences on the Santa Ana Register of Historic Places. The Floral Park Neighborhood Association is working to promote national historic designation, which would provide you and your home with significant benefits. Downtown Santa Ana (listed in 1984) and French Park are the two National Register Districts in Santa Ana (listed in 1999). According to studies, property values in designated historic areas can increase by up to 6%. Historic district designation also aids in the conservation of historic properties in the community, actively contributes to the neighborhood’s character and attractiveness, and makes it simpler to qualify for Mills Act property tax relief.
