About Indian Wells, California

Indian Wells is a city in Riverside County. The town lies between the cities of Palm Desert and La Quinta. It has a total area of 14.6 square miles, of which 14.3 square miles is land and 0.3 square miles is water. It has a population of 5,000, according to the 2010 census.

The City is known to host the sixth-largest tournament in the world, the Indian Wells Masters tennis tournament. Indian Wells Masters is one of the nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 high levels operated by the Association of Tennis Professionals.
