Del Mar is a laid back beach town about 20 minutes away from San Diego. It is called where the turf meets surf due to its beautiful beaches, popular race tracks, and upscale living.
The City is first known during the golden era of the movie industry. Del Mar was a retreat place for Hollywood’s biggest movie stars who came to enjoy the beautiful weather, peaceful ambiance, pristine beaches, and the exhilarating horseracing.
Del Mar is well known for the excitement of thoroughbred horseracing. The Del Mar Racetrack during racing season is a spectacular wonder in San Diego Country Fair. There are also other nearby attractions such as the Torrey Pines Golf Course, which is home to the US Open and Farmer’s Insurance Open.
